About the artist

Working the way clay
actually wants to move

Having earned an MA in Design from the Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts — one of Ukraine's oldest art institutions — Olya spent 15 years lecturing in Art and Design before relocating to Scotland. Her background is deeply rooted in academic design education.

As a GTCS-registered art teacher, trauma-informed practitioner and certified process work counsellor, Olya brings a deeply therapeutic approach to art, using clay as a gentle tool for grounding and expression.

Today, based in Perth, she balances her studio practice between creating her own artworks and guiding others through the therapeutic, creative process of working with clay, sharing the quiet joy of making.
